Sunday Service Times (September to June)

Sundays 9:00 am

St. Simeon’s Church worships at St. David’s Church at 9:00 am each Sunday.  The worship includes Bible Readings, Prayer, Sermon and Holy Communion with Traditional, Gospel and Contemporary Music.  On the third Sunday of each month a Healing Service is included in the Worship and on the fourth Sunday of each month there is Family Sunday with children and youths as major participants in the Worship.  A Fellowship Hour follows the Service.

Sundays 11:00 am

St. David’s Church worships each Sunday at 11:00 am.  The worship includes Bible Readings, Prayer, Sermon and Holy Communion with Traditional, Gospel and Contemporary Music.  A Fellowship Hour follows the Service.

Sundays 1:30 pm

A Mass in Spanish is celebrated each Sunday at Iglesia San Juan Bautista at 1:30 pm.  The worship includes Bible Readings, Prayer, Sermon and Holy Communion all in the Spanish Language, including traditional and contemporary music, with piano and drums.

Sunday Service Times (July & August)

Sundays 10:00 am

St. David’s Church worships each Sunday at 10:00 am.  The worship includes Bible Readings, Prayer, Sermon and Holy Communion with Traditional, Gospel and Contemporary Music.

Sundays at 12 Noon

St. Simeon’s Church during the Summer hold their Sunday Services “Under the Tent” at St. Simeon’s Triangle, the former and future home of St. Simeon’s Church.  The outdoor Worship Service includes Bible Readings, Prayer, Sermon and Holy Communion with Traditional, Gospel and Contemporary Music.  The Service if followed by a Great Meal open to all.

Sundays 1:30 pm

A Mass in Spanish is celebrated each Sunday at Iglesia San Juan Bautista at 1:30 pm.  The worship includes Bible Readings, Prayer, Sermon and Holy Communion all in the Spanish Language, including traditional and contemporary music, with piano and drums.  Often in the Summer Services are held outside in the adjoining Yard.

 

Special Sunday Combined Bi-Lingual Services

First Sunday after Epiphany Combined Bilingual Service

On the first Sunday after Epiphany, January 6th, the Baptism of Jesus, a combined Bilingual Service is celebrated at Iglesia San Juan Bautista at 1:30 pm.  Combined Choirs and Music and this is an appropriate Sunday for Baptisms.  A major celebration of Music and food follows the Service.

Palm Sunday

On Palm Sunday there will be one Bi-Lingual Service at 10:00 am. At St. David’s Church.  The service will begin with an Outdoor Procession of the Palms and a Service of Bible Readings, Prayer, Sermon and Music by our combined Choirs.  A fellowship Hour will follow the Service.  There are no other Services in the congregations that day.

Easter Sunday

On Easter Sunday there will be one Bi-Lingual Service at 10:00 am at St. David’s Church.  The service will be a Festival Celebration the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The Servie will include Bible Readinigs, Prayer, Sermon and Music by our Combined Choirs, including a special selection by our Youth Choir.  A fellowship Hour will follow the Service and a Massive Easter Egg Hunt for the Children.  There are no other Services in the congregations that day.

CWW Picnic Sunday

On the last Sunday in June all the CWW congregations gather at a State Park for a Massive Picnic and Worship.  Worship is held outdoors with Bible Readings, Prayer, Sermon and Music.  The Bilingual Service is held around 1 pm followed by a Fellowship Picnic for all.  Games and Swimming is provided for all, especially the children.  There are no other Services in the congregations that day.

Combined Bi-Lingual “Mass Under the Tent”

Twice during the Summer months of July and August all the congregations come together under the tent at St. Simeon’s Triangle to worship in a Bi-Lingual Service of Bible Readings, Prayer, and a Sermon.  The combined Choir provide Traditional, Gospel, Latin and Contemporary Music.  The Service is followed by a large Fellowship Meal.

Wednesdays 11:00 am

Each Wednesday morning there is a celebration of the Holy Communion at 11:00 am.  This is a quiet meditative service.

Holy Days & Special Services

Throughout the year there are various Holy Days and Special Services, most on done as a combined Service of Worship of all three congregations.

Ash Wednesday

Holy Communion is celebrated at 11:00 am and Worship with Music at 6:30 pm.  Ashes are distributed at both services.  Combined Choirs and Music supplement the Service which is bilingual.  Light food is available following the Service.  Services are held at St. David’s Church.

Thursdays in Lent

A Service of the Stations of the Cross are held each Thursday evening at 6:30 pm.  Most services are held at St. David’s Church, some as announced will be held at various South Bronx Episcopal Churches.  Call for information, 718-665-2747.

Maundy Thursday

On the Thursday before Easter Sunday the Celebration of the Institution of the Holy Communion is celebrated at 6:30 pm. With the Stripping of the Altar.  Combined choirs and Music supplement the Bilingual Service.  The service is held at St. David’s Church.

Good Friday

Good Friday Services are held from `12 noon to 3 pm for the Traditional Three Hour Service of Bible Readings, Prayer, Sermons and the Traditional Good Friday Liturgy.  In the evening at 6:30 pm a special Service of Stations of the Cross are done by the young people of the congregation.  The Service is bilingual.  The services are held at St. David’s Church.
